My husband and I went to Nizuc Resort & Spa during January 2016 with another couple. We've stayed at Ritz-Carltons and other high-end resorts but we have never experienced the quality and attention to detail that we experienced at Nizcu Resort & Spa.

The resort was beautiful, extremely clean, and well managed. The service was the best we've ever experienced. They anticipated all our needs. When I asked for an umbrella to keep my chair in the shade, the attendant moved the umbrella with the sun without me needing to say anything. When we got out of the pool, there was an attendant waiting with a towel for each of us. In addition, the food was excellent. Every restaurant we ate in had a varied menu with delicious food. Sam, I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you about our fantastic vacation to the Nizuc Resort & Spa.  My wife and I enjoyed it immensely. The resort is beautiful and the staff could not have been more accommodating. 

When you get to the main gate of the resort there are these massive wooden doors which open up to an oasis.  Our room had an ocean view and all the facilities were top notch. The restaurants on site are all fantastic.  We ate at the Steakhouse Restaurant, the Asian Restaurant and The Italian Restaurant and each one was superb. In addition, the beach, the pools and all the facilities are outstanding.

Aman-Lite in Cancun

For world travelers fortunate enough to have enjoyed the majestic architecture and unparalleled service provided by Aman, Cancun’s Nizuc Resort & Spa makes a genuine effort to duplicate the experience, while keeping hard earned cash in the visitor’s wallet.

It is no coincidence that a previous Aman executive and a renowned Aman project architect participated in Nizuc Resort & Spa’s original management team. Their style and contribution are readily apparent. Ditto for staff training and a “how can we help” attitude. Best we’ve ever had in any of Mexico’s premium quality resorts.

Do you like proximity to an arriving airport? By taxi you’ll be welcomed at Nizuc Resort & Spa’s substantial resort acreage in less than 15 minutes.

Six unique restaurants offer varied cuisines from traditional Mexican to Italian and Peruvian. The “adult pool’s” restaurant (terrific burger, by the way) transforms to a romantic chop and seafood grill house in the evening. Indochine delights with Asian and Far East creations. And then there’s “breakfast”! Served from early morning until noon, one of the finest and most varied buffets we’ve ever encountered. You need to stay hydrated for the activities that lie ahead, so be sure to try the champagne or a mimosa or four.

Resort golf carts roam freely from lobby to pools to room towers and villas (we never waited more than 2-3 minutes). Our ocean suite’s plunge pool brought new meaning to “cooling off” in private.

Water activities – too numerous to review here. You name it, Nizuc Resort & Spa’s got it, from water rides or simple snorkeling to Sea Doos or deep sea fishing.

Family friendly? We visited over the Easter holiday and both tourists and Mexican nationals with children were abundant, but never bothersome. Nizuc Resort & Spa’s multiple pools and spacious beaches provide an atmosphere of “seen but not heard” with regards to the youngsters.

Cancun’s primary hotel zone lies 20 minutes by taxi. Shops and restaurants galore. The Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza and Tulum can be great day trips.  

But seriously – Why leave Nizuc Resort & Spa, Cancun?
